The colors of Fall are lovely.
The Reds, Golds, Browns and Oranges bring to mind chunky sweaters, warm hot chocolate and the smell of bonfires.
Yet, I am having a hard time letting go of the colors of Summer.
Which is making my act of “being Enough” a struggle every day as I work through the achy muscles of fibromyalgia and the small bout of seasonal depression I often get this time of year.
It’s turning all those amazing colors and my outlook : Blue.
So I am doing all I can, from the way I am dressing to the way I am spending my days working very hard to embrace this Autumn. From wearing lots of those fall colors to decorating my house with them, I am swirling the new colors on the canvas of my life in an effort to color up the blues.
I am resting, I am relaxing, I am regrouping.
How about you?
If you find it hard to say goodbye to a particular season of your life, how do you move past it and into the new one?

Would it help if I told you how drop dead gorgeous you looked in your golden yellow dress and leopard shoes? xo

I love Fall, so I don’t have to try very hard to embrace it. But every night this week, I’ve been burning either a pumpkin spice or vanilla bean candle. The scents fill my house with the smell of Fall and make me excited for the impending chilly weather and holiday season. Scented candles are are a great way to transition from summer to winter.
And I’m so sorry you’re feeling blue, Kir. I usually struggle with my seasonal blues in Janurary/February, so I get it. Wrapping you up in a big virtual hug, my friend.

I recognise the question, I find myself asking it a lot, but I don’t have the answer unfortunately.
